This App Privacy Policy explains how Slovo collects, uses, stores, and shares data in the Slovo iOS app. It covers guest use, Sign in with Apple, saved verbs, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and privacy choices.
| Area | Data | Purpose | Storage or processor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple sign-in account data | Slovo account identity, optional account email, optional display name, Apple identity token, nonce, and Slovo session cookies. | Account creation, session creation, session restoration, account display, and account deletion. | Backend and iOS Keychain/session storage. |
| Saved verbs | Saved verb slug, saved timestamp, learned state, and account association. | Account-backed learning data sync. | Backend and local account-backed cache if present. |
| Firebase Analytics | User ID when signed in, screen views, product interaction events, and event parameters. | Usage analytics and product quality. | Firebase Analytics. |
| Crashlytics | Crash data, non-fatal diagnostics, app/runtime details, and user ID when signed in. | Diagnostics and app stability. | Firebase Crashlytics. |
| AdMob | Ad requests, ad impressions, ad clicks, and device/ad identifiers when permitted. | Showing ads and measuring ad performance. | Google AdMob. |
| UMP consent and ATT tracking | Consent status, privacy-options availability, tracking authorization status, and IDFA access when authorized. | Consent collection and permission-based personalized advertising. | Google User Messaging Platform, local SDK storage, and iOS App Tracking Transparency. |
| On-device storage | Slovo session cookies, current user metadata, welcome state, appearance preference, local import version flags, and app-specific consent/ad SDK flags where applicable. | Session restoration, account state, local preferences, and app functionality. | iOS Keychain and UserDefaults. |
You may use the core Slovo learning experience as a guest. Account backed features, such as synced saved verbs, require Sign in with Apple. Published authentication in the iOS app is Apple-only.
Signing out clears the analytics and crash-reporting user ID from the app state. It does not delete data that has already been processed by third-party services under their own retention rules.
Slovo displays ads through Google AdMob. Where required, Slovo uses Google's User Messaging Platform to collect advertising consent and provide privacy options. On iOS, App Tracking Transparency controls whether Slovo and advertising partners may access the IDFA for tracking and personalized advertising.
You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings. When available, the Privacy Choices control in the app opens the Google UMP privacy options form. If you deny tracking permission or do not provide applicable consent, ads may still be shown, but they should be non-personalized.
Slovo Account Deletion is available in the iOS app for signed-in users. It deletes the Slovo account and account-backed saved verbs, clears local authentication/session state, and returns the app to guest use.
Slovo Account Deletion does not delete Apple-held Apple ID data, Firebase aggregate analytics, Crashlytics operational diagnostics, AdMob records, UMP consent records, ATT status, UserDefaults preferences, or Google Forms-backed support submissions except where those systems support separate retention handling.
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security and reliability, support users, comply with legal obligations, and operate third-party services under their retention rules. Local preferences may remain on your device until app reset or uninstall.
Slovo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
