These Terms govern your use of the Slovo iOS app and the Slovo website at https://www.slovo.app. By using Slovo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Slovo.
Slovo is a language-learning reference for Dutch and German verbs, conjugations, example sentences, saved verbs, and related learning content. In these Terms, "Slovo," "Service," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Slovo. "You" means the person using Slovo.
You may use the core Slovo learning experience as a guest without creating a Slovo account. Guest use may rely on local device preferences and does not provide account-backed syncing. Some features, including synced saved verbs, may require a Slovo account.
Published authentication in the Slovo iOS app is Sign in with Apple only. When you sign in, Slovo may receive an Apple identity token, a Slovo account identity, and optional account email or display name depending on your Apple settings and choices. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and device secure.
Signed-in iOS users can request Slovo Account Deletion in the app. Slovo Account Deletion deletes the Slovo account and account-backed saved verbs, clears local authentication/session state, and returns the app to guest use. It cannot be undone.
Slovo Account Deletion does not delete Apple-held Apple ID data, third-party service records, aggregate analytics, operational diagnostics, advertising records, consent records, tracking permission status, local non-account preferences, or support submissions except where those systems support separate retention handling.
You agree not to misuse Slovo. You must not:
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or where needed to protect Slovo, users, or third-party services.
Slovo may show advertising, including ads served by Google AdMob. Slovo may also offer subscriptions, paid features, or other purchases in the future. If paid features are offered through Apple, purchase processing, billing, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and App Store rules.
Slovo is provided for general language-learning and reference use. Verb conjugations, translations, explanations, and example sentences may contain mistakes, omissions, regional differences, or generated content errors. You should verify important language decisions with a teacher, native speaker, official source, or other trusted reference.
Our App Privacy Policy explains how Slovo handles data in the iOS app, including Sign in with Apple, saved verbs, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, advertising, privacy choices, and support requests. Please read it at https://www.slovo.app/privacy-app/.
Slovo may use or link to third-party services, including Apple, Firebase, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Forms, and other websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, privacy practices, or terms.
Slovo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of Slovo after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slovo and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to your use of Slovo. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Your use of Slovo may also be subject to other local, national, or international laws.
